Our club formed in 1980 as Grasslands S.C. and transited to our current name, Central Plains S.C., in 1984. Members have won two National Championships, a 2nd place in Nationals, multiple Regional championships, and have had 2 members represent Canada in international competition on 3 occasions. Our club president, Barry Gay, has been the GSSCC president for 3 terms (6 years). Cathy Gay, our national club's first secretary at the founding of our national organization, served for 8 years at separate dates. The club is very active, having hosted National Championships on two previous occasions, and now will do so again in August of 2025. See this link to find out more.
