CO-TRIAL JUDGE
I have been involved in the sport of IPO Schutzhund since 1988 and have been a member of UScA for 15 years. I received my UScA probationary judges license in November 2010 and my full license in April 2013 and my GSSCC license in May 2013.
Since then I have judged several Regional Championships and I was the tracking judge for the 2014 GSSCC National IPO Championships and 2015 UScA Working Dog Championships.
I have raised, trained and handled 3 GSD’s to SchH3 and 2 dogs from a SchH/IPO1 thru 3. I have also attained FH titles with two of these. I have competed with these dogs in many regional and national events in both working and conformation in both USA and Canada. My last female made #6 on the top 10 IPO 3 dogs in Canada. Two of the others attained High Scoring SchH3 protection at P.N.W.Regional Championships. One of these also took High SchH 1 protection (club trial) and High scoring SchH2 at Western Regional Championships.
I am a member of Lower Mainland German Shepherd Dog Club in B.C. Canada where I currently reside.
I breed 1 litter a year under the kennel name ”vom Kleetal” and I’m actively training my IPO2 female and her daughter.
I’m married with 1 son and 3 grandchildren.

Our obedience and protection judge this year is Horst-Dieter Träger (SV). Herr Traeger is a well-known all-round working German Shepherd Dog afficionado.
He is a German Customs dog trainer and handler by profession. For over 40 years (since 1980) he trained and handled general purpose dogs (protection) and detection dogs for the German Customs Service. In that time Herr Traeger not only trained many dogs, but also instructed many handler-dog teams to graduate at the Customs Dog School in Bleckede.

In 2001 he became a working judge in the SV. Herr Traeger has competed in many Regional and National Championships with his own dogs. This includes four times at the SV Bundessiegerprüfung (BSP), with dogs he not only trained, but also bred himself. He also participated one time in the National German Rottweiler Championship (ADRK).
As a judge Herr Traeger has judged the pinnacle of the GSD Championships. He judged protection at the 2021 WUSV World Championship. He has judged at the SV BSP twice, also in protection, as well as the German VDH (all-breed) Championship, again in protection. Herr Traeger is especially known for his keen appreciation and evaluation of protection work.

Sieger Show & Breed Surveys
Having discovered a love for animals at an early age, Erich Bösl joined the SV in 1977. In December 1978 he established his breeding program under the kennel name "von der Piste Trophe." Only two years later, in 1980, he won the North Bavarian Regional Show (his home area) in the youth class with his female "Jessy von der Wienerau". In 1990 he presented for the first time a breeding group at the BSZS ("Siegershow").
Through the years of continious work this kennel has produced many top ranking dogs and the kennel "von der Piste Trophe" is well known all over the world. The dog that Erich Bösel is probably most proud of is Enschi von der Piste Trophe. In 1999 this fabulous female won the young dog class females at BSZS in Karlsruhe. At BSZS 2001 in Düsseldorf Enschi went directly into the VA group and became VA3.
In 1993 Erich Bösl became an SV judge. He is judging in many countries of the world. In 1999 he was nominated as Koermeister. He is also LG 19 breed-representative (LG Zuchtwart) in Nothern Bavaria. Erich Bösel has been awarded the very enviable task of judging the working class females at BSZS 2010 in Nürnberg. In 2000 he judged the youth class males at BSZS in Bremen, and his very convincing winner that year was SG1 Bax von der Luisenstrasse. Bax later, in 2003, became VA1.
